Kingston Residence of Santa Fe showed off their culinary skills this past weekend at the Annual Comfort Food Classic benefiting the Gerard’s House for grieving children. Hosted at the Las Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa, the fundraising event featured local top chefs preparing delicious comfort food creations for attendees to judge.
Kingston Chef Tony Quintana and his crew Pedro Hernandez and Alexis Tovar Gonzales, took first place with their expertly grilled, Petite, jalapeño bacon wrapped, filet, dry rubbed with a six chile pepper seasoning and topped with micro greens served with cinnamon buttered fingerling sweet potatoes. Chef Tony is no rookie when it comes to winning food contests in the area. Last year, Chef Tony took second place in the Comfort Food Classic.
“I think people are surprised to discover that a chef from a senior living community took top prize for cooking,” shared Chef Tony. “Getting out in the community to show off our recipes is so rewarding. My residents are my best food critiques,” Chef Tony stated with a grin.
