Kingston of Ashland offers outstanding services for long-term and short-term residency. We are staffed with skilled and compassionate nursing personnel working directly under physician's orders. On-going training assures that our staff is current with the most modern geriatric techniques.
Our rehabilitative services are conducted by licensed therapists and are available to assist all residents. Physical, occupational and speech therapy are offered.
Rehabilitation
Comprehensive Rehabilitation
Our Rehabilitation Team at Kingston of Ashland is a dynamic group of therapists with combined experience of over 90 years. We are dedicated to providing the most current physical, occupational and speech therapy techniques to deliver the highest quality of rehabilitation service individualized to meet the specific needs of each patient we serve.
At Kingston of Ashland we provide both inpatient and outpatient services to the residents of Kingston and the surrounding communities. We are family oriented and work with our patients, families and their physicians to promote the highest level of independent function both at Kingston and in the patients’ own home.
Physical Therapy
Our Physical Therapists work with our residents to restore function and to prevent disability following an illness or injury. As a resident of Kingston of Ashland you will be evaluated and begin receiving treatment within 24 hours of admission.
While receiving Physical Therapy we are able to assist you with:

Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists provide services to people whose ability to function in daily life has been disrupted by physical illness or injury, developmental problems, the aging process and mental or emotional illness.
Our Occupational Therapists provide programs such as:
- Dining and Feeding
- Comprehensive Activities of Daily Living such as dressing and personal hygiene
- Positioning and wheelchair evaluations
- Splinting
- Adaptive Equipment
Speech Therapy
Our Speech Language Pathologist works with residents to enhance their communication abilities and to assist residents who have difficulty chewing and swallowing food or liquids.
Services available to residents in our Speech Therapy Program include:

- Dysphasia Therapy
- Aphasia and Language impairment
Inpatient Services
At Kingston of Ashland we begin planning your discharge the day you’re admitted! We work with you and your family in educating and training everyone for your return home. We offer home evaluations and assist you with your return to the community.
For those residents wishing to make Kingston their permanent home, we offer on-going screenings to watch for decline in functions.
Outpatient Services
Outpatient Therapy services is also available at Kingston of Ashland. You have the convenience of scheduled appointments and easy access to our Rehabilitation Center. You can be dropped off right at the front door and begin receiving your therapy within minutes. Your family can enjoy a cup of coffee while relaxing in our lounge or can join you for your therapy session.
