Kingston of Santa Fe Hosts Fundraiser to Support Local Arts

Kingston will proudly open its doors to the community from 5:30 – 7:30PM on Friday, September 12th to raise funds for Lifesongs Programming for Kingston Residents.

Lifesongs is a program of the Academy for the Love of Learning. It is an intergenerational arts project that promotes social inclusion and dignity for elders and people in hospice care. Central to the Lifesongs process is the artist-facilitated creation of original musical works by people in assisted living, skilled nursing facilities and hospice care. Lifesongs engages youth and community members in the interactive creative process and hosts public events that increase awareness and engagement with the process of aging and dying.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.  The event will feature tours of the facility, as well as fabulous food and a concert by Lifesongs.

“We love it when people visit our facility,” said Pam Plaza, Executive Director.  “All of our employees are tremendously proud of the quality of care we provide and they love to get a chance to meet the community as well.”

Kingston Residence of Santa Fe has been serving the Santa Fe community since 1989.  It offers engaged and fulfilling retirement living with luxury and privacy. Kingston Residence of Santa Fe offers independent living, assisted living and a secure memory care unit.

“Santa Fe has been good to Kingston, and events like this are our chance to interact with the community,” concluded Pam Plaza, Executive Director.
