The Staff Treated Him With Such Care

Emily Roach, Admissions Coordinator at Kingston Residence of Sylvania, received the following letter from a family member: “Dear Emily, I just want to say a big THANK YOU for everything you and the staff did for my Dad while he was a resident at Kingston. From the first day we walked in your facility for a tour to the day my Dad was taken out for his final rest, we were treated with care, kindness and respect. My Dad could be a very impatient man, but no matter his behavior, the staff treated him with such care and love that we were confident he was getting the best care possible. We were also kept updated on a regular basis as to incidents and issues. The Nurses and Aides at Kingston are a very special class of people who have a very tough job. I don’t remember a single incident when they did not act in a professional, caring manner. I am also glad that we took advantage of the seminars you offered to family members on a regular basis. Dementia is a savage disease that is so hard on the whole family, not just the patient. Through these seminars we learned a lot about what to expect and how to deal with the various stages of dementia. Again, thank you for everything you did for us and for giving my Dad the best care possible during the last year and a half of his life.”
